The night we've all been waiting for!  Well, at least I have. 
The American Idol finale is on!  I recorded it, so here I am watching it at 5am...lol
I am so excited! 

Kat's 1st song - she sang this once before and I liked it then and I love it now.  She looks and sounds wonderful.
A really nice beginning. Judges thought it was good but not GOOD. 

Taylor's 1st song - Another one that has been done before - but he sounds great and performs like an old pro. 
The jacket cracks me up, though. Flamin' purple! Man, the audience LOVES Taylor.  Even Simon liked it.  Yey!

Wow - the place is filled with stars.  There's a real electric feeling.  Wish I was there!

Kat's 2nd song - Cool - she's doing Somewhere Over the Rainbow - my fave song from her. 
he sounds lovely - if a bit nervous. But she still makes me cry when she sings this.
Awwwww her dad, too, I see. That's really sweet.  Yey, they loved it!  Man, this is going to be close.

Holy cow!!  Tayor's dad looks and sounds just like him!  Hehe

Taylor's 2nd song - Leave on - I love this song.  I don't understand the words, lol, but it sounds amazing. 
Wonderful. Hm - Randy thought it was pitchy? I didn't hear it, but whatever.  Paula cracks me up. 

Tied game according to Simon, and I agree.

Kat's 3rd song - Her first single - Sounds like an AI finale song.  She sounds a little like Kelly Clarkson.
She's definitely pitchy in the lower register on this one. Oh weird - what's with the out of tune? 
Something's definitely wrong. Not like her at all. Hm.  She looks like she knows something is up.
Oh the judges were really nice to her, and that's wonderful. She really is talented, and I would buy her CD,
 as long as she sings btter songs than that last one!!

Taylor's last song - His first single of course, another song written for the finale.  Jeez, what's with these songs??
Not his type of song.  Ick, poor Taylor - this doesn't do him justice at ALL. Damn, who wrote these ballads? 
Well, he did well despite the song.  Cracks me up that the judges hated both the singles.  LOL 
Oh, Simon thinks Taylor won, and Taylor is over the moon!

Personally, I love both of them, and I would love to see either one win. 
But I think Taylor has the best chance given his insane fan base. Jeez, they're insane.

Fantastic finale - can't wait until tonight!
